This website is designed to provide information on the State of Georgia's effort to understand the impacts of the Affordable Care Act, more commonly referred to as federal health reform legislation. This act was passed on March 23, 2010.
Georgia has created an interagency team to coordinate the State's analysis and response to provisions of the health reform legislation. The agencies involved are the Governor's Office, Department of Community Health, Department of Insurance, Department of Behavioral Health, and the Department of Human Services.
Governor's Exchange Advisory Committee
Georgia's Advisory Committee appointed by the Governor is dedicated to assessing the feasibility of establishing a state run health benefit exchange.
